Position Overview

We are currently hiring a Senior GIS Specialist for our Bengaluru office. This is a strategic role requiring a blend of advanced technical GIS skills, project leadership, and innovation. You’ll work on complex geospatial projects, support multidisciplinary teams, and help shape data-driven decisions that impact communities and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain complex spatial databases and analytical models
• Lead advanced spatial analyses to support planning and operational goals
• Build and optimize GIS tools and applications to enhance workflows
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to capture requirements and deliver custom GIS solutions
• Provide mentorship to junior GIS team members and ensure quality standards are met
• Monitor industry trends and emerging geospatial technologies to enhance service offerings
• Lead technical GIS aspects of multi-disciplinary projects across various domains
• Prepare and deliver visualizations, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Master’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• GIS professional certification (e.g., GISP) is a plus
• 5–7 years of professional experience in GIS and spatial analytics
• Strong command of ArcGIS and QGIS platforms
• Proficient in spatial modeling, remote sensing, and cartography
• Solid experience with SQL and spatial database management
• Programming proficiency in Python, R, or similar languages
• Previous experience managing GIS projects and leading small teams
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and a problem-solving approach
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with domains such as urban planning, environmental management, or natural resource management is a bonus
• Willingness to travel within India for project-related assignments
