GIS Engineer

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Enterprise Technology Engineer to support and evolve our innovative Geospatial Platform. As part of our Geospatial Technology Team, you’ll contribute to critical projects across production, subsurface, wells, and emergency response, applying advanced technologies to real-world challenges.

This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about geospatial data and eager to harness cutting-edge tools to drive smarter business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure seamless operations of the Geospatial Platform, including resolution of support requests.
• Assist internal teams in implementing and testing new geospatial technologies and methods.
• Perform regular maintenance, updates, and system improvements for geospatial tools and platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues raised during QA, customer testing, and user feedback.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to technical documentation.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders to validate use cases and propose innovative technical solutions.
• Develop and implement efficient algorithms to solve complex data-related challenges.
• Conduct performance testing using Esri-supported tools.

Skills & Experience Required

• 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of the Esri suite of products.
• Proficiency in ArcPy, ArcGIS API for JavaScript, and ArcGIS Pro v3.x.
• Experience with system installation, upgrades, and product troubleshooting.
• Ability to debug and resolve platform issues effectively.
• Solid understanding of Esri system architecture and performance testing.
• Experience working in agile development environments.
• Strong communication skills for presenting technical concepts to stakeholders.

• ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal, Server, Data Stores)
• ArcGIS Online, Survey123, Field Maps, Quick Capture
• FME Form & Flow (2023.x+)
• Scripting skills: Python, JavaScript, PowerShell
• ArcGIS API for Python
• Microsoft SQL Server (2019+)
• Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud (Certification preferred)

Educational Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geographic Sciences, Computer Science, Survey Engineering, or a related field with relevant work experience.
